A Trauma-Informed Way of Being | Free webinar, Fri 26 June

Daniel Todd 17 Jun 2026

We’d like to invite you to a free online webinar as part of our national research study, Hidden Drivers of Choice.

For many young people, the decision about whether to pursue higher education is shaped by far more than grades and geography. Financial pressure, caring responsibilities, confidence, and experiences of adversity and trauma all play a part, yet these hidden drivers rarely surface in traditional research.

In this webinar, Miranda Arieh, Specialist Trauma Consultant on the study, will share her expertise on the impact of trauma on young people, and what it means to take a genuinely trauma-informed approach, why it matters, and how to put it into practice.

The session will cover:

  • An introduction to Miranda’s expertise and background
  • What trauma-informed practice looks like in a higher education context
  • Research discussion on trauma impact on young people
  • Trauma-informed practice importance and implementation

Whether you work in widening participation, student support, recruitment, or research, this is a chance to think differently about the realities behind student decision-making.

We hope you can join us.
