Live: Who benefits from the post-16 reform?

The government’s Post-16 White Paper has landed, and with it come questions about who benefits, how pathways shift, and what fair access looks like in practice.

Next month, I am exploring those questions in a live conversation with Jon Datta from The Sutton Trust. On November 11th, we will be looking at what the reforms mean in practice – for learners navigating complex choices, for institutions managing new pathways, and for anyone trying to make sense of where policy and lived experience meet.

In other news, I have also been appointed to the new Equity Board at Buckinghamshire New University – a role focused on bringing evidence, challenge and candour to the institution’s equity work. More on that below.

I am delighted to have joined the newly formed Equity Board at Buckinghamshire New University, alongside colleagues bringing lived experience, challenge and strategic expertise. My role? be a critical voice, push the thinking further, and help turn ambition into measurable action. It’s work that matters, and I am very glad to be part of it.
