Our Engagement team are specialists at targeting, interacting and inspiring young people through innovative educational outreach activites and initiatives. These are designed to focus on the needs of the individual in order to support their development and improve their confidence in becoming more resilient learners.
Our Engagement & Development Programmes
Our high-quality programmes are tailored to effectively meet the needs of targeted groups of young people. Each one has been carefully created to be impactful and engaging, to ensure learning is embedded.
Over the years, we have successfully delivered innovative programmes for a wide range of clients across a number of sectors:
- National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) consortia networks

Marginal Gains Programme
This programme is based on the concept of Marginal Gains, making small improvements in a number of areas of your education and life, to achieve an overall goal.
These are highly impactful and interactive workshops that help reinforce learning and engage students. This is an example of a targeted programme, which supports young men to improve their educational attainment, through the use of relatable role models.
Duration: 3 x 2 hrs workshops.
No. of students: 20 per cohort.
Developing Mindful Mentors
This programme is facilitated in a Train-the-Trainer format, within which young people will be equipped with mentoring skills.
This includes giving learners a strong understanding of what is required to become a successful mentor and learning how they can apply these skills to begin founding positive mentor/mentee relationships.
Duration: 1 hr workshop or as a half/full day programme.
No. of students: 10 – 50.
Science in Sport
This highly engaging and interactive programme linked to STEM, incorporates a number of physiological testing elements through the use of state-of-the-art Sports Science equipment.
It gives students an insight into how science is driving sports’ performance and what it’s like to study Sports Science related subjects in Higher Education.
Duration: 2 hrs – 4 hrs.
No. of students: 40+ depending on capacity of your facilities.
Future Leaders Programme
This innovative leadership programme helps equip students with the skills, knowledge and confidence to become more effective leaders.
Duration: 1/2 – 2 day
No. of students: 50+ depending on the capacity of your facilities.
Business Enterprise Challenge
This programme provides students with a business brief, they must then work in groups to complete this challenge.
For example, we deliver challenges based on Creative Industries, where aspects of STEM are incorporated.
Duration: from 2 hrs – 4 hrs.
No. of students: 100+ depending on the capacity of your facilities.
Students are given a series of challenging activities that they overcome as a team and in doing so develop important skills such as teamwork, communication, leadership and resilience.
Duration: 1 hour – 1/2 day.

Against the Odds
A motivational talk that focuses on the life experience of our Managing Director, Sean Dirrane.
Our uplifting and inspiring talks can be tailored and delivered across a number of different audiences.
Duration: 30 mins – 1 hrs.

Higher Education Talks
We’re experts in Higher Education with a number of our team having worked in HE Widening Participation and Schools Outreach roles.
We offer a range of talks and workshops, all of which are highly engaging to support students to better engage in learning.
