Beyond Guesswork: How to Target Students with the Right Support

Knowing which activity is going to work for which student group is one of the biggest challenges in access and participation.

Without clear insight into which students respond to which interventions, targeting can sometimes feel like guesswork – and engagement suffers as a result.

We have analysed data from over 35,000 FE students and identified four distinct segments, each with different needs, motivations, and behaviours for Higher Education.

In this session, we will break down those segments and, more importantly, showcase a real example of how segmentation has been used to improve targeting, increase engagement, and drive better student outcomes.
